ABOUT THE ARTIST
KAT KELLY
Kat Kelly is an artist based in Cork, Ireland.
Working in collage/assemblage, mark-making, text and installation, her practice acts to explore ideas relating to identity, affect, the unconscious and spirituality through a psychological, archetypal lens. Disparate references are brought together drawing from autobiography, Irish artefacts and folklore, queer counterculture, popular culture, anatomy and landscape to examine deeper understandings of self, place, belonging and becoming.
She graduated from Limerick college of Art and design in 2009 and has exhibited both nationally and internationally.
